Yes! You can make edits by visiting your album page, and clicking “Edit Release”. We’ll walk you through everything you can edit from there.
A few things to keep in mind:
- If you change your artist name via metadata update, some stores will create a new profile for the new artist name. This will likely reset profile followers, and is not in DistroKid's control.
- If you have any album artwork that displays the old name, you will need to upload new artwork that is not mismatched with the new name - otherwise stores will reject the update.
- When requesting an artwork edit, artwork needs to be a perfectly square .jpg image, ideally 3000x3000 pixels, and must be in the RGB colorspace.
Note: certain things such as audio files, track listing, genre, language, Album Extras, and ISRCs cannot be changed via metadata update. To change them, you will need to delete and re-upload a corrected version. Here's how to delete your release(s) from stores: https://distrokid.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013649193
If you need to remove your release from certain stores, remove it from specific countries, or specify an artist as a remixer or collaborator, drop us a line and we can assist.
